Protection Tube

As the piston rod have to be protected against dirt, scratches,paint and all kind of damage we offer you, for your risky applications, our Lift type with a protection tube. The protection tube is available according to your request in plastic, metal (painted or galvanized) or stainless steel. This protection tube covers the piston rod and when the gas spring is pushed to closed position it passes over the pressure tube while the piston rod moves inside the tube of the gas spring .

This precaution device is appropiate for applications:
· near to engine parts
· open to the environment (dust, rainy, snowy,etc.)
· in dirty surroundings
· in machinery equipments and in agriculture

Automatic Locking / Safety Tube

For applications where an extra security is necessary to prevent closing of the gas spring without the users control, we offer you beside our "Blocklift" range our Lift type with an Automatic Locking/Safety Tube.
The Automatic Locking/Safety Tube works similar to our Protection Tube. It is mounted over the piston rod and it moves over the pressure tube when the gas spring gets closed. When the gas spring is fully open the locking device gets activated due to a internal spring and the Locking/Safety tube falls slightly on the piston rod and blocks the moving way of the gas spring. The gas spring will not be able to move until the user depresses the Locking/Safety Tube against the cylinder of the gas spring.

Valve
If you cannot specify your extension force we offer you a valve system. This will enable you to adjust the pressure of your gas spring after installing it.
How it works : You will be supplied with your individual gas spring, filled with the maximum pressure. After installing the gas spring you will adjust the pressure easily until you think that the gas spring works properly.

Advantages of the valve system
· Once you specified your proper pressure, we will measure the gas spring and will supply your gas springs with fixed force. This will avoid that you have to make the confusing force calculations.
· Gas Springs with valve systems will give you more convenience for your applications where you will need for every different hood the same gas spring with different forces. You can make a stock of fully filled gas springs and just adjust the pressure of each gas spring after the installation. No more waiting for only a few gas springs...
