  Protection Tube

The Blocklift gas spring operates in the same principle as the Lift gas spring.
Due to an integrated valve the cylinder of the gas spring is seperated into two different pressure chambers. The valve works as an transfer channel of the gas and/or oil. When the valve is closed the transfer channel is closed either and the relevant medium cannot pass into the other pressure chamber thus the gas spring locks. By pressing the release pin the integrated valf will open and and the medium passes through the valve and floods to the other chamber thus the gas spring unit can be moved into any desired position. When your desired position is reached just leave the release pin and the gas spring will lock immediately because the valve is closed. In this manner a Lift becomes a Blocklift.


Blocklift gas springs are available in 3 different Locking Type variations

a) Spring Blocking
b) Rigid Blocking in Extension
c) Rigid Blocking on Compression

Release System

In order to fulfill customer requirements for optimal cushioning
characteristics, long service life and perfect function, DESTEK offers
two construction types :
· Release pin at the end of the piston rod
· Release pin on Tube (T-Blocklift)

Tube Finishing

· Black Painted (standard)
· On request different colours (acc. to RAL code)
· Galvanized
· Stainless Steel (SAE304 or SAE316)

Piston Rod

· Black (standard)
· Hard Chrome plated (on request)
· Stainless Steel (SAE304 or SAE316)

Extension Speed


The extension speed is adjustable within the physical limits
according to your individual request.

Working Temperature

Standard -300 C to 800C
On request up to -450C
On request up to + 2000C
